Purple Sage or Pink Trombone?

No, I'm thinking of Richard Manuel it seems.

I misread that as, "Stalin."

Other than that one about death and destruction, it all felt very run of the mill. It was competent but had nothing going on to distinguish it from a million other Country albums.
I shall give it 3 stars.

Well, that was pleasant enough.
I've not listened to it in ages and I'm reminded that the first track is the best one.
Still, not bad, if a little underwhelming.
The truth is that other bands did this kind of thing just ever so slightly better (and with more dazzling vocals).
