Well, I'm a bit baffled now.

God's honest truth I've never heard anything by this band before now (I know the band's name well though, obviously).

There was a lot musically to like.

It plateaued strongly on that front during the middle third of the album and during that time the ham-fistedly pretentious vocal stylings began to work.

But...

All things considered, it does make me curious about their back catalogue.

I think that the last year-or-so has made some bands and artists go a bit odd/daring.

Possibly a bit too long and too wordy.

There's two of them, one does everything musical and the other one does the the other stuff.

The singer has made some wonderful experimental instrumental stuff,

The other guy's made some really boring self obsessed singer songwriter stuff, go figure eh?
