I remember watching a 1950s black and white film with him as the star on TV one afternoon around 20 years ago; I didn't really know him but I couldn't believe the film was from so long ago as his whole look was sort of up to date, with a modern hairstyle and stubble, the latter you rarely see on old films.

He then died a short while after me discovering him!
