I'm thinking of replacing its current steel seat-post with a lighter, aluminium one. Excited

I was also planning to replace its current seat-post clamp with a quick-release levered one but it seems reluctant to come off. I don't know if it's been welded on or if it's just the paint that's holding it there.

My other plans are to replace the saddle and to replace the current plastic brake levers with metal ones.

I may also replace the current steel handlebar with an aluminium one.

And, if I really have fixed the gear-changing issues, I'll replace the current freewheel with a mega-range one, to make it easier to tackle steep hills. box

And I'm also going to replace the default plastic pedals with aluminium ones.

If I haven't managed to fix the gear-shifting, I may convert it to a single-speed and see how it copes with hills.
