I've opened the windows to let fresh air in but the wind is howling through the house, like in a horror film.

Speaking of horror films. there were numerous bats swooping back and forth outside my window, all night until the dawn began to show.

I suspect they were feasting on the numerous flies that have been out there all week.

When I went to bed, last night, it was 26 degrees in the room and was swelteringly hot.

When I woke up, this morning, it felt way cooler. But it was still 26 degrees in the room

This does not compute.

It's "only" currently 21.5 degrees in here, the coolest it has been for a good while. It's quite pleasant.
