I've got this CD in my pile of about 100 unlistened-to charity shop/eBay-bought CDs and it's edging towards the top. I'd been after it for years. I'll listen to it on my own accord soon then will report back if I can be bothered.

I've now listened to it. It's kind of what I expected - Feargal pleasingly warbling over 80s synthtastic sounds, with production by David A. Stewart, but not really sounding typically Eurythmics-like. Though I guess 1985 was sort of in between their synth and rock phases so it probably represents more so the likes of There Must Be An Angel.
I enjoyed it, and adore A Good Heart and the follow up single You Little Thief. But I wish they'd have included the two other singles from just before this release, Listen to Your Father and

Oh, and as for the cover - what effect is that? Is it projected onto him, computerised or was he actually painted like a zebra spider?

There is a delightful standard photo of him in the booklet.

From how strong the shadow is beneath his chin, my guess would be that they projected it onto him.Butterfield wrote:Oh, and as for the cover - what effect is that? Is it projected onto him, computerised or was he actually painted like a zebra spider?

I think they might have painted his face white or light grey, hence the pink bit around his eye and projected the stripes onto him.
Or maybe they painted his face black.
