a) I was surprised that Mystic Meg was as old as 80. I hadn't heard anything of her for years and years.

b) I presumed Topol had died at least 25 years ago, if not 30 or 40 years ago.

For those of you - well, probably just me - who have followed Boy George's career you will be aware of his mother, Dinah O'Dowd, a little unassuming Irish lady who has always stuck by him through thick and thin and was featured in many related documentaries and interviews over the years. She has died aged 84.

Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Paul Grant dies aged 56

The actor, who appeared as an ewok in Return of the Jedi and a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was found collapsed outside King's Cross station in London last Thursday afternoon.

As well as Star Wars and Harry Potter, the 4ft 4in actor also appeared in the 1988 film Willow and the cult classic Labyrinth alongside David Bowie in 1986.
