It is over.
That was a very good album with bags of energy and lively drumming but it fell off a cliff, somewhat, in its final stages.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

That was an odd album.
Either a slightly clumsy genre 'crossover' affair, or the death-knockings of a band beginning to run out of ideas?
It was really very engaging for the first half and more - replete with top hits and strong, groovy album tracks - but then it seemed to crumple into a vaguely embarrassing melange of slightly crude punky numbers, one disco stormer and a frankly bizarre crypto-prog disaster that genuinely threatened to eclipse everything good that came before.
