I don't know what's going on TBH.

It had been experiencing loads of 502s in the last several months, but they seemed to've stopped in the last couple of weeks.

Interestingly, it's 'sister site', the horrid RPTIF*, which operates on the same forum platform is also down.

How do find out what software/platforms forums are supported by?

This one's obviously Forumotion, but GSIF uses (used?) the same one the old *** used (so, probably quite old and creaky I s'pose).

There's been a lot of talk about upgrading it to something more moderne and manageable in the last year-or-so, but I've not been aware that any immediate change has manifested itself.

There's a difference between the host (forumotion for us) and the platform (phpbb).

How do I know this one is phpbb? It has at the bottom "

phpBB" and the link there goes to a plug for phpbb. There'll be similar clues scattered about on any forum's pages.

If you do a search for "forum platforms" you'll get a list of candidate names to look for.
