It is over.
It was OK but nothing on it really stood out.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

That was a cover of an Archie Bell & The Drells song apparently.

Hmm, whilst it was never bad in any significant way, it wasn't either all that good.
TT could've passed for any number of her contemporaries during that era when soul and funk went all on its back and showed its tummy to disco.
As Princess_BellybuttonZ said earlier on, the disco stuff sounded distinctly 'bolted on'.
Also, apart from the O'Jays cover, nothing was really memorable.
Still...

Re: Tina Turner - Love Explosion (1979)
Well, it was pretty much how I expected it would be - perhaps even better. Why ever did it get completely ignored at the time, then abandoned, leading to me barely even knowing it existed until more recent years? Other than the mildly weak cover of Backstabbers, which was fine enough, I loved it all and thought the production and instrumentation was mostly really, really good. I definitely need to source this on a physical format - any physical format!
4.5/5
And for the actual voting I'm upping it to a 5.

All that praise and I didn't even mention Tina herself.

Sort by "price lowest"...
Vendor: vinylsnatcher
£5.99 + £4.50 shipping = £10.49.
It's almost as if you don't know Butters at all.
