I forgot to do the quarterly quote on Oct 1st!

On Oct 19th the NHOTW 5 closed at 66.1, down 9.5 points on the last quote.

The trend is downwards, but over the last 12 months that's a 15% nominal return, 8% after inflation.

Which is pretty good. My own investments are down 1.9% in real terms over the same period. If only I'd invested in the NHOTW 5!

How can it be a strong showing if it started at a baseline 100 and is now 66.1 of that? I’d sack my financial advisor for a result like that.

I did make it clear that the performance was good over the last 12 months, not over the lifetime of the index.
