What's brown and sounds like a bell?
Re: Chris Bell - I Am the Cosmos (1974-75)
It's gr8 incidental music for a rain-soaked Monaco Grand Pr*x.

Normally I'd get excited when a '70s Moogy synth would come on...

Re: Chris Bell - I Am the Cosmos (1974-75)
Bell's catalog of proto-alternative rock has inspired the likes of Beck, R.E.M., Teenage Fanclub, Pixies, Primal Scream, Afghan Whigs, Pete Yorn, Wilco, The Posies, and The Replacements, all of whom have covered his music or expressed their admiration for Big Star in the press.
Yep. That lot.

This has its own Wikipedia page. That means it must've been a big hit.

Yep. That lot.
Big Star were a sort-of proto-'hipster' band weren't they.
I remember when they got rediscovered back in the '80s by various musicians and the NME.
