An album jam packed with authentic emceeing skill, solid production and a mix of fantastical and odd lyrical concepts interspersed with autobiographical braggadocio that belied genuine hurt and personal strife.
After all these years not listening to it, I'm struck by what a really strange mix of the surreal and the painfully honest it is.
I think that he may have failed commercially in some regards because of the unusually candid way he was trying to express a kind of vision.
I, personally, loved it.
It's a diamond in the rough - the best kind.
