Hmm.

Well, actually, not "hmm".

Aminals has longed vied with my affections regarding what is my personal favourite Floyd album, but this mix does it absolutely no favours whatsoever.

So many things/decisions were wrong and/or really badly executed that it robbed the whole thing of its glorious 'twilight of analogue' sonorousness and majesty.

It was, weirdly, only really interesting to hear Wright's keyboards more clearly, but every other decision was a dead loss.

Reverb is your friend.

Not your enemy.

Cherish it.

I was listening to the orginal mix in the Brum-brum the other day, the music is one big lump and when things emerge from the bolus of merky sound, it's obviously a stylistic thing, this new mix loses all that, and the power for the sake of Hi-Fidelity. I don't listen to Pink Floyd for the audio quality.
