Late last night it was pouring with rain so I thought all the snow from the previous day would have melted away. But I got up to look out of the window at something past 6 this morning and the snow was all back and deeper than before! Cars on the B-road were going past on occasion quite slowly following tracks.

By the afternoon the sun is shining brightly, snow is dropping off the trees in big lumps and the roads are simply back to being wet. I'm going to be venturing out in the car for the first time in a couple of days shortly. It looks like I'll only have to clear some remaining snow on the windscreen.
