TV news items that don't need their own threads
So, Flog It! is being axed after 17 years. When I heard a couple of days ago, at first I was thinking it was Bargain Hunt and that Nightjar would be devastated. Then about a minute later I realised it was the even duller BBC Two show.

I don't know what the difference is between Flog It and Bargain Hunt.

Flog It is for old people whereas Bargain Hunt is for old people and students. That's the difference.

There is no word on who would play the lead role of Bergerac.

Brian Constantine, executive producer and chief executive of Jersey-based Westward Studios, said...."It's a much-loved drama and a real boost for Jersey, my home, where Bergerac has become part of the island's identity."
The only thing it does is make Jersey look like a hive of criminality.

First Bergerac, now this!
One of my earliest TV-watching moments is of Crackerjack; some children putting their hands into boxes of gunge looking for things. I remember it absolutely terrifying me due to all the cheering, shouting and general chaos.

Children's TV favourite Crackerjack is to return to the BBC, 35 years after its last screen outing.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-47784238Grange Hill 'icon' Zammo to join EastEnders
The actor who played Sammy "Zammo" McGuire in Grange Hill in the 1980s is to return to our screens as a new character in EastEnders.
Child star Lee MacDonald, who's now 50, rose to fame more than 30 years ago as the loveable Zammo, a character who later ran into drug problems.
MacDonald will appear on the BBC One soap in two episodes this spring.
He'll play a bus driver, who takes on Mick Carter - played by Danny Dyer - in a radio competition to win gig tickets.

That sounds a thrilling storyline, sure to pull in the viewers.

I genuinely think seeing the terrifying Zammo/drugs storyline when I was 5 or 6 stopped me from touching any such thing myself in later life.
Then years later you find out pretty much the whole cast were allegedly doing drugs behind the scenes!

Is the one on the left an ex-Grange Hill person? I feel like I know her.
