This fillum is completely bizarre.
A proper, yes, a proper gallimaufry.
AAAAND, there's just been a scene that they ripped off wholesale in Flash Gordon.
But kind of more profound and challenging and pseudo-scientifically, psycho-geographically 'accurate'.

I used to think this was the runt of Doug McClure's litter but, nowadays, I think it's easily his best.

I think it's quite adept in the way it integrates Nazi pseudo-history into its themes.

I wonder if Graham Hanckock's ever seen this film?

This is what I have been saying.
It's like the kind of stuff that was the central theme to Raiders of the Lost Ark - teh Narzis being obsessed with mythology and 'manifest destinies' and all that malarkimabobbles.

It's got the bloke from Carry On up the Khyber in it. The one they think is dead, so they cover his body, and then he complains that he's still alive.

I think he was also a pirate, or something, in Carry On Jack.

Flying fish, attacking like the rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Although they do look more like they're just being thrown by bored stage hands. The Call of the Wendigo wrote:Flying fish, attacking like the rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Is this the ending where there's just an endless series of explosions in the water?

It's definitely Kevin Eldon's finest performance.

Heroine's doing a Caroline and refusing to leave with Doug.

Totally annoying and pointless bit where the girl can't go back with 'Dishy' Doug.

Do you think that these were decisions based on actual plot considerations or something to do with not wanting - or not being able to shoot within budget - the scenes where they're all back in the normal world with either Caroline Munro or this woman who looks like Kate O'Mara crossed with Ken Dodd?
