I am about to look across the city to see if I can see any bonfires.

Based on the last few years, I am doubtful that I shall.

I have been able to spot no bonfires.

For that matter, there aren't really that many fireworks, bearing in mind that it's Firework Night.

I have found a box of sparklers left over from my last show that I used to put on for my children! (and half the others up the road so the parents could go out for an evening)...about 10yrs ago.
I will go and light one now.

Kids today wouldn't be impressed by that. They're already challenging each other on TikTok to pick up hot sparklers. Probably.
