There was always one at the top of the street. One at the bottom of it. One on the way to the local shops. One near the church.

And those were just the communal ones. On top of that, there were plenty in people's back gardens.

I've barely heard any fireworks at all this year. There were a handful when I was back in the Midlands last weekend but that was nowhere near like what it used to be 15-20 years ago when they'd start in pretty much late September.
