It is over.

It felt like two unconnected albums mashed together and would have been better if they'd released it as two albums. One with the songs on it and one with the instrumentals on it.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I shall give it 3 stars.

The day before they closed it, I went for a last walk around it and suddenly realised that, after a lifetime of visiting it, I still didn't have a clue where most of its corridors, doors and stairwells actually led to.

Nor could I put together a mental image of how it looked from outside on all four sides. So complex and convoluted was it.

I actually find that very hard to judge.

In truth it wasn't the group's fault that it wasn't a good fit for this forum.

I mean, that would've been a matter for the administrator to have ascertained beforehand, surely.

It wasn't very much fun to listen to though, but, to reiterate, that's cos it was supposed to be a shared, lively listening experience that rapidly became an onerous chore wherein only Butterpops's pain was amusing.

Makes you wonder what the I, Monster sounds like what with having one of All Seeing I in them.

God knows how Sharon ever managed to find her sandwich stall in that endless twisted maze.

So, ABC's crown remains unchallenged.

Hardly surprising cos that album was truly outstanding, but every other Sheffieldshire effort so far has fallen desperately short of the mark.

Thinking about it, in a sense, I can't help feeling that album captured the feel of Castle Market. A disjointed, incoherent, unfocused, exasperating Frankenstein Monster of a structure but filled with surprising and unpredictable nooks, crannies, levels and turns.

I remember Dare and the Arctic Monkeys ones being excellent.

Which one is you?

I went through Birmingham New Street, and I just couldn't get my head around how it was now and how it worked architecturally from my memories.

Come to think about it, I never knew how the old one interacted with the streets.

We still haven't done Joe Cocker, Tony Christie, Reverend and the Makers, Babybird, Moloko, John Shuttleworth, Heaven 17, BEF, Clock DVA, Def Leppard, The Last Shadow Puppets, Living in a Box, The Longpigs, The Long Blondes or Richard Hawley yet.
