I've just taken out the battery out of my multimeter as it was complaining that I need to change the it.

Use battery before 2011.

It measures a multitude of mensurables. Voltage, current, resistance, frequency, battery charge. I've got one that measures temperature too.

Interestingly, I too changed a multimeter battery, on my previous visit to my parents'. I needed to use their meter to check whether the fuse in their extension lead plug was blown. And indeed it was. Not surprisingly since they'd put a 3 amp fuse in instead of a 13 amp one. oh no

I wonder if I’d be entitled to social housing.

My friends flat is social housing, and it’s very nice. I’m sitting in it as I type, knowing she doesn’t have to pay for all these problems if anything structural goes wrong with the building. She’s free of the burden.

As far as I understand, water penetration makes my flat unsuitable for human habitation, making me legally homeless. As we now live in a socialist country, why shouldn’t I get into the spirit of it. I can but try.

When my son was a tiny baby I did in fact apply - I was privately renting in W2 then, and they accepted me as Band B or something, but the waiting list was so insultingly long I removed myself from it.

She’s been telling everybody my private business again - I went over there to take him some things. I was waylaid by her lucky-in-life neighbour who knew more about what I’m doing than I do, complete with financials.

The culprit herself was staggering around drunk again, claiming that she’d been caused ‘stress’ by my leaking property and so it was my fault she was on her second bottle of the afternoon. She refuses AA, so now I’m stressed.

He’d rather stay there - can do as he pleases at any time of day or night.

This woman - who always speaks to me with the kind of faux sympathy where you can tell she’s enjoying it - has blown up soft focus photographs of herself all over her home - the kind of hideous old trash where you pay the photographer to sit on a bit of sheepskin and simper/smoulder on command. Thanks to my mother’s drunken sob stories I have to put up with her looking down her surgically altered nose at me.

When I was over there for dinner last night, this witch turned up, and as she was leaving I could hear her chatting away in the hallway. She’s got another grandchild on the way, and on the way out she said to my mother ‘I’ll be ahead of you after this - you’ve only got the two now don’t you’.

What a thing to say.

That’s precisely the kind of person she is. No chance missed to stick the boot in while pretending to be nice.

This is really why I loathe her.
