To do glamour photos when she didn't really want to.

Yes, she never struck me as that type of person to do such photoshoots, or at least her characters weren't. But I guess that was the point in doing some "sexy" photos as a sort of contradiction, and was likely offered money by whatever seedy blokes.
Moody, dour character gets "sexy" and supposedly excites all the men.

Re: "Sexy" photos
Who on earth wouldn't want to do glamour shots? Every 20 something should have at least one professionally done set so they can look back on them in later years.
There's no way, btw, that a 'seedy bloke' gave her that Quality Street wrapper to wear. Only a gay stylist or another woman ever suggested she put that on her back.
Gay stylists and other women (or lesbians in the case of the subject being a straight man) are likely why so many of these pictures are 'sexy' in quotation marks. The effort is visible, and visibly falls flat. The only relevant question for a truly sexy result is to get one of the target audience to do the work and, upon seeing the result, say honestly whether or not they'd sh*g the subject. Fashion, art, or simple headshots are different, but sexy requires the photographer and any other key decision makers being, at least in theory, turned on by the result, collaborating to produce powerful erections or gusset slicks. When this is absent, the results are only ever likely to be 'sexy'.
Only straight women and gay men can produce actually sexy photographs of a man. Only straight men and lesbians can produce the same of a female subject. Bisexuals (or unusual talent) can do both. Any other combo is near guaranteed to be a 'sexy' fail. Those are the rules.
