As bad as you think it's going to be? You know the translation of 'Soviet' is Council, just sayin'

Worse than I expected, and my hopes were not high.

It is over.
The first two-thirds of it were dull. The last third was a shapeless mess.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, the first half(?) was horrendous, possibly one of the most disappointing albums I've ever done on here - proper 1/5 territory. A horrible mismatch of genres and nothing that even resembled anything by Paul Weller and friend.
But the last half(?) was better - though they weren't the proper single versions - there were two or three genuinely decent album tracks. Still, as an album as a whole, it just didn't work - at all.
2/5

I have voted, with principles strictly, mercilessly adhered to.

This post was better than any part of that album and, in fact, it's one of the most cruelly 'consigned to the previous page cos of the lineal nature of the traditional forum format' posts I've ever created.
Well, I thought it was funny and apt anyway.

Which is essentially what this whole commentary has consisted of.
