Clueless was a pretty successful 'springboard' vehicle for actors who's careers suddenly flourished and then fell to bits after about 3 years wasn't it. hmm

In the summer of 1969, It's A Beautiful Day were poised to perform on the Woodstock stage, with producer Bill Graham proposing two bands to Woodstock promoter Michael Lang for inclusion in the festival - It's A Beautiful Day and Santana. According to legend, Lang liked them both so much that he finally tossed a coin to decide. Santana won, and became famous worldwide overnight.
