I wonder how many poor souls in the playground and the pubs were knocked out by Cilla in her younger years.

Having said that, someone obviously got her back good and proper, because her jaw always moved independently from the rest of her face. It was something structural that I’ve always been rather fascinated by.

Can it not be. I actually have an Uncle Gary.

I’ve never understand why Gary gets shortened to Gal. I’m the only person who calls my Uncle Gary, Gary. I wonder if it’s the same in the Middleton and royal families. I can imagine Kate sticking to Gary while everyone else calls him Gal.

I wondered if the other princesses around Europe from similar backgrounds have privately reached out to condole her, or whether they’re just thinking ‘thank god it’s her Uncle Gary and not my Uncle Gary this time’. In a way, it would be nice to think such sisterly solidarity was going on behind the scenes - the calls coming in from Madrid, Monaco, Copenhagen.

Others too - the Crown Princess of Norway had a baby with her drug dealer during her club kid days, before marrying in, so she could be designated in charge of bringing the gear.
