I managed to watch three of last night's big films.

Of them, I felt Son of Frankenstein was the best and The Invisible Man Returns was the least.

I still reiterate that the young girl in Day of the Triffids should have been played by Roberta Tovey. That way, it would have featured a meeting between the TV Dr Who Susan and the movie Dr Who Susan, which would have been pleasing.

Also, her character in Day of the Triffids is also called Susan, meaning we would have had a triple dose of Susan-ness.

Why film producers don't think of these things is beyond me.

Now to see what's on the telly tonight.

Wikipedia has now phoned me and told me The Day of the Triffids was made before the Dr Who movies and before the Dr Who TV show first aired, meaning the producer couldn't possibly have known to arrange for the two Susans to meet each other.

In that case, I blame Fate.

It's even stupider than Destiny.

Return of the Saint is on both Rewind and Great! TV tonight, again. I do find it odd that it can be on two unrelated channels.

I'm going to start watching a film now.

I feel that, bearing in mind Wendi and I's struggles to stay conscious during a movie 'sitting', we should have a separate thread devoted to such epic, heroic, albeit pathetically all-too-common failures.

Like: What was that in your eyeballs before you fell asleep/passed out inebriated and what was the last bit you remember and do you think you'll try and watch it again?

Or something.
