Re: Cliff Richard Xmas Thread
My guess is that it's - once again - an album of "reinterpretations" - with strings.

Featuring seven decades of hits including Living Doll, Summer Holiday, We Don't Talk Anymore, Wired for Sound and the stunning Suddenly featuring Olivia Newton John.
No mention of strings.

Re: Cliff Richard Xmas Thread
Is there a 2024 one where he's in traditional English cottage gardens?

Let's hear what the updated version of Carrie sounds like.

It's like he's invented a whole new genre of music that's a fusion of Dark Folk and Yacht Rock.

Folk Horror + Yacht Rock = Yacht Horror?

Re: Cliff Richard Xmas Thread
I'm sure what all Cliff fans really needed was yet another re-recording of Carrie. Pleasant enough, but the "cha cha cha" sound in it is a bit naff.
That said, it's quite amazing that he's still regularly releasing "new" material, every year or two, even if it is old songs recycled into a slightly different style.
