That was very nice, like someone had found a way to engrave cocoa into grooves on a 12" wide disc made of vinyl.

Well, it was weird mess of elements that more than hinted at a confused record label-driven drive to reinvent her as something more than a doe-eyed Reader's Digest femme fatale...

It had its moments.

But...

That was a bit of a slog. Words like "boring" and "lacklustre" spring to mind. I like some of her early dull songs (Closest Thing to Crazy is genuinely delightful), but with this I feel she/they were trying too hard to bring her into the mainstream, and it just didn't work.
