At their best they were an absolutely superb band.

Had a fair few hits, but still criminally underrated.

Seen as a bit of a novelty band in truth. sad yes

Their lyrics and narrative themes were always really depressing, that was pretty much a constant theme throughout their career, regardless of how jauntily groovy the tunes were. sad yes
