Someone Chow meined me car!
I've had to scrape off the worst of the noodles and then take it to the nearest garage to wash it.

I've recently received my new driving licence "photocard" (as one does every 10 years) and it still has the EU flag on it. I wonder if I'll be one of the last people in the UK to have such a driving licence - and if it allows me any future EU benefits.

I shall remember that when I'm driving along the reservoir causeway in 90 minutes' time.

Re: The all-new all things driving thread
There were huge puddles everywhere after all the rain.
I don't mean the reservoir btw, I know the difference between a reservoir and a puddle.

Re: The all-new all things driving thread
Driving along happily yesterday on a local 50mph dual carriageway, a lorry joined the road up in front of me and kicked up what must have been a large stone which hit the passenger side of my windscreen at speed, leaving a big chip in it together with a rather large crack.
In 20 years of driving I think that's only happened to me once before, when a skip lorry went past me in the opposite direction and did the same. But that was only a small chip.

Is there a missing post in this thread? Or was the earliness of the hour causing me to imagine things?I shall remember that when I'm driving along the reservoir causeway in 90 minutes' time.

I've just washed my car for the first time since I bought it, 6 months ago.

That was how I washed it. I had a sponge in each fist

Re: The all-new all things driving thread
My friends, who don't live in Fanchester, gave me a lift home from our coffee and cake session today, using a futuristic app called Waze that analyses live traffic and finds the quickest way.
All was going well until it announced 'Turn left onto Blank Road' which my friends innocently did, while I frantically began to explain that Blank Road is the unruliest part of Fanchester, a place where even the horrible scummy kids on BMX bikes go round in pairs cos it isn't safe otherwise.
Luckily the friend at the wheel is a reckless driver who always goes too fast, so we got to the other end of Blank Road before I'd finished warning them.

I was inspecting Google Surveillance pictures of our route just now, even then I kept looking over my shoulder.
