I've been worrying about whether my new small car would have enough space to carry large items without exposing them to possible theft.

But I've just now found out that if you fold the back seats forward, the luggage cover sort of concertinas out to cover the whole luggage area, hiding my stuff from prying eyes.

How ingenious.

I laughed. But was then disgusted by my reaction.

I keep giggling at it.

I've double checked and although it said Bus lane on the ground, and there was no sign on a post, it stopped being a bus lane years ago and I won't be getting fined!

I've found this video I made in 2009, of junction 3 on the M50.

I took it on a digital camera I bought in 2005, which was bluetacked to the dashboard.

I filled up the screenwash reservoir, and gave the car a good 15 minute idle and a 3m drive back and forth.

Then later a lorry came to collect the neighbours' 'hippo bag', so I obligingly drove my car round the block so they could crane it in.

I really don't mind my elderly gentleman/car keeper/driver supplementing his income, but I told him when I found out he was chauffeuring Russians around the shops to run his schemes by me and keep all receipts. As nobody has been out splashing cash these last three months, he's been online and leafleting his neighbourhood - offering £10 jump starts to the many people without breakdown cover. And no bloody receipts.

I got held up on the A12 again this morning, a lorry had overturned at Marks Tey.

When I finally got past the jam, I actually saw the lorry lying glumly on its side.
