I had a voucher for 400 points or something if I bought some HCBs!
I had some extra special EXTRA Fruity ones last week.
They were nice.

Yesterday I purchased 4 Tesco Finest Extra Fruity hot cross buns. I'm going to have 3 for breakfast tomorrow, and one as my pudding tomorrow lunchtime.
I may split one or more of them in half and toast them. More on that as I have it.

I think I say this every year - I hate them and I hate even just the smell of them.

I haven't had my hot cross bun breakfast yet. I've got a hangover, and have just had a pre-breakfast of pineapple, orange juice and yogurt to test what sort of mood my tum's in.

I duly had the final bun for my pudding at lunchtime. Just as I promised. When I undertake to eat 4 hot cross buns, I deliver
Re: The Hot Cross Bun thread!
There was a knock at the door in the last hour. Not expecting anyone I dutifully ignored it.
A few minutes ago I went out the front door to discover left on my doorstep half a dozen hot cross buns!
Plus a small card inviting me to go to the church around the corner on Sunday. It was from them. They're normal brand Christians so it's ok. I don't have to worry about intrusive follow up.
I can't remember the last time I've had hot crossed buns, if at all in fact. Technically it's very illegal and quite an offense for them to be in my house at this time of year, on account of my y*ddishness. So I've wrapped them in tinfoil and put them in the back of the freezer and will eat them some time after Passover.

Re: The Hot Cross Bun thread!
20 years ago Tescos started selling 'Jewish' hot cross buns with a star instead of a cross on top - at the request of Jewish customers apparently. It caused a bit of a kerfuffle

With respect to our Jewish friend(s), but to use a modern term, isn't that cultural appropriation?
