Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
Ideally I like it slightly hotter than this, but bone dry desert heat - no humidity. Marrakech in high summer always works for me.The Call of the Wendigo wrote:It's only knowing the weather's going to get cooler that keeps me going through heatwaves.
Or the opposite - a cold crisp November morning, the smell of leaves and bonfires. Snow works for me too. It's the in betweens I can't bear - grey, cool, drizzle. Which is most of the time. I particularly hate pouring rain.

My entire flat is attic based, so it can get a little uncomfortable at night.
Something painful and red has happened to my inner right ankle. It looks quite angry.

I love pouring rain provided I don't have to go out in it.
What I hate is those winter/early spring 'white sky' days, high overcast and no wind, like nothing is ever going to change again.
Btw, I have an extensive blog comprising all the weather-related entries from the Fangirl Diaries: https://weatherdiaries.blogspot.com/
Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
I don't mind white cloud as long as it's dry. It's actually my favourite driving weather. Sunny and warm/hot is second.
I find rain depressing in all circumstances. It reminds me of traumas like being forced to sit through Grandstand on rainy Saturday afternoons. Or Sunday evenings marred by the Antiques Roadshow theme tune, the stupid old duffers that compromised the genuinely hateful Last of the Summer Wine, and whatever god awful twee Agatha Christie sh**e had been adapted by BBC or ITV.
I especially remember in 1998 being very depressed and not helping myself by watching a period drama called Nancherrow, starring Joanna Lumley and based in Cornwall. I saw on an advert that ITV3 are repeating every single episode of Downton Abbey. Now a channel to avoid at all costs until that horror is over.
I'll take a look. Might jog some memories.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
Gosh it was hot last night. I've got the fan on in my computer room now, it's the first time I've ever had to do that at 5.30am.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
It was raining overnight. It has stopped now but there are ominous clouds a-looming.

Currently 56 degrees, wet and windy. It really does feel like Autumn's arrived now.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 2.
It was a beautiful day yesterday, not a cloud in the sky.
But some active cloudage this morning makes me fear that the forecast of rain will prove all too accurate.
