Re: Inspiration icons
One of those bouquets was mine. It was ten white lilies in full bloom - without cellophane.
On a hot day in July 1999 I had a fabulous experience on the cool marble floor of the changing room here, with a boy called Dominic, hidden from other shoppers only by a heavy Medusa monogrammed curtain. He had far more skill than a 16 year old boy should. He was absolutely beautiful. Gianni would've approved.
The works of a great artist. What a privilege to have shared a planet with him...

How very sneering of you.
Mars bars are too sweet. I prefer a Fry's Peppermint Cream.

I'm not sneering you d*ft b*t!
Stop taking my silly jokes as personal slights.
As for Fry's PeppermintCremes Creams - this could be the key to your ultimate fortune CT.
Start up a kiosk by South Ken' Station selling deep fried Fry's PeppermintCremes Creams and make an trillion.
The batter could be made more airy with Champagne!

Re: Inspiration icons
We'd cut corners by using Cava or Prosecco to lighten the batter.

Re: Inspiration icons
There'd be an selection of sauces, or coulis to put on the top.

Re: Inspiration icons
Is it creme? Yes, you're probably right.
So would I, that's exactly what I'd do. I once went to a champagne reception and when I slipped out the back with a barman, a mountain of Cava bottles took up most of the available space.

Sounds uncomfortable.

Well, they're lucky it wasn't my event because I'd have bankrupted them in court for such a trick. I bet they billed for champagne. I did think about drawing attention to it but the messenger gets shot, and I would've been put in the position of explaining how I found out.

Re: Inspiration icons
Two things to add - I've just remembered a had a bar of Fry's Peppermint Creme in the cupboard. And it is spelled cream.
Also, timely since my tribute to Ms Miller in this very thread, there's a letter in the kitchen I'd picked up at work and left in the pile. Earlier this year I was asked to appear on television. For a panel show.
I have no wish to do so due to the death threats etc that flood people who appear, and my own propensity to have screaming matches with those who have the idiocy to disagree with my positions. This letter seems to be asking again, and makes reference to emails I haven't read. Although it's possible I dealt with them when drunk.

Joy Behar is just great. What I wouldn't give to have a long lunch and then end up out on the town with her.
So wise - a shrink and a job/money of your own are two essentials for happiness. Inspiring interview...
"Who were you at 10?" is a life enhancing question for all of us. Before life and socialization and all that stuff got in the way, who are you at heart? What did you love then? What fascinated you? What was your talent? What did you want?
A great question, so simple, so rarely asked or reflected on from adulthood.

Re: Inspiration icons
Nipsey Hussle, a fine man and a great loss. Completely inspiring.
Hussle's nickname came from his entrepreneurial spirit. He shined shoes for $2.50 to pay for school clothes at age 11 with a goal of a hundred shoes a day. Hussle sold his mixtapes out of a car trunk at a neighborhood strip mall at the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard. After leaving Epic Records, he founded his own record label. Hussle experimented with unorthodox sales strategies by selling expensive copies of certain mixtapes even while the songs were distributed for free.
Hussle's Marathon branding inspired Steve Carless in 2013 when he founded Marathon Agency with business partners Karen and Jorge Peniche. They designed the talent-based brand to attract a diverse set of clients in all stages of their careers. In October 2016, Carless, the head of the agency, told that Hussle had invested "like over six figures" in the Marathon Agency and described him as "kind of like our silent partner."
Hussle opened the Marathon Clothing store on June 17, 2017, which he founded along with partners Carless, Civil, and his brother Samiel Asghedom. Opening the store at this intersection in the Crenshaw commercial district was important to him because he wanted to invest and provide opportunities in his neighborhood of Hyde Park. The store is billed as a "smart store," which bridges the gap between culture and technology by giving customers access to exclusive music and other content created by rappers through an app created by software engineer Indriss Sandu.
