Is Ian really going to abandon Sharon's son in a locked room on a sinking boat? He is a little sh*t but I think that's a twisted storyline. Surely they won't do that.
There again, she's done a terrible job as a mother. The grandchild of Dirty Den should be proud, charming and iconoclastic, not panting after the thuggish Phil Mitchell.

I'm finding the news quite depressing this evening. I strongly disapprove of anything but the minimum - death/date/method - on the Caroline Flack story. I feel that the news, sandwiched between immigration and flooding, is the wrong outlet for the nuances of domestic violence and how legislation interacts with circumstance.

Parents in prison. Another nuanced topic not suited to a four minute slot on the news. I had a parent in prison and I never felt any stigma from it. Quite the opposite.

Well that was woeful. They may as well not bother. Half an hour of the test card would be a better use of airtime and give us all a short reflective opportunity.

The blusher on Priti Patel today makes it look like someone has given her a good hard slap on both sides.
I do hope everyone cheering this on has themselves at least an A level in English. From what I can gather, without that they would find themselves without the requisite 70 points to work in the UK.

C4. Higher productivity of care workers desired, with increasing automation for lifting and handling. I feel quite ill. I might stop watching all news programmes.

I've probably mentioned this before but I really do find Kirstie Allsop absolutely intolerable. I don't see the appeal of that 'deputy head girl at a boarding school' persona, which seems to go down so well in our country.
I've interviewed a few and discounted them on the grounds that I could do without a criminal record for assault. For much the same reason I don't interview people who live in Fulham, on the grounds that it's an enclave of braying horses who don't like London but can't afford Chelsea.
SW6 is a convenient quarantine zone for the Kirstie's of this world.

The couple she's doing on C4 have a canoe on top of a four poster bed, which itself is in front of the dreaded abstract/floral 'feature wall'.

The Cilla thing on ITV was very enjoyable. I'm glad I watched that. I never really liked her, and I absolutely hated Surprise Surprise, but since her death I've come to respect her as a star, a pro, an all good things when it comes to performance.

Did we need to see Abdul before he was buried? I'm not convinced. Those that care will still. Those who don't won't. I can't recall seeing the body of a British baby broadcast on the television news.
There are millions of people in this country who would support rules that would see him actively refused aid/asylum, rehearsing the same arguments aired in the 1930's, and every decade before and since.
And I'm absolutely fed up of hearing about The Royal Family, the Sussex trademark, and all pending divorces. Until Andrew is extradited, I think the nation should be gifted a period of respite.
