Top of the Pops 1988 favourites The Pasadenas do a rather unlikely 1992 club/house/dance version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - that sounds almost nothing like actual Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds other than a handful of recognisable lyrics.

Des O'Connor released a version of the Neighbours theme tune as a single in 1988 - and it reached number 100 in the charts. I certainly wasn't expecting much from it, but it actually sounds far worse than I was expecting.
