I mean, a good Sauternes is a thing of wonder, but you couldn't have it with steak and chips.
The ice cream perhaps.
Also, if the Sauternes costs the same as the Liebfraumilch then I'd be highly suspicious about the quality of the former.

Why do you say that? Do you think the 'p' is actually a 'D' for old pence?
I pondered that possibility but I think it would more likely have been 'd' in that case.
