ELO - A New World Record (1976).
People can go on about Out of the Blue but, for me, ELO's best album is and was A New World Record, their 1976 masterpiece which found them still with remnants of their earlier rough edges but also the fully-developed production of their later years. The album went platinum in both Britain and the USA and double-platinum in Canada.

The pomp and grandeur has begun in earnest.
