It's from Hawks and Doves I think.

Sounds virtually the same as the version on H&D in fact.

This is from American Stars and Bars.
Same version more-or-less.

Some nice backing vocals from Nicolette.

It is over.
That was a painless listen but very insubstantial. Up until the final quarter of it, it felt like an album made up entirely of bonus tracks.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

Hmm..
I'll be honest, I prefer Stars and Bars.
It sounds like an album that the record company rejected.

Well, that really was a bit of a joke.
A few tracks aside, it wasn't anything like a coherent album.
Less so that 'Stars and Bars', 'Hawks', 'Rust' etc...
Trades descriptions, man, trades descriptions...

Do you mean generally, or the actual song "Old Country Waltz"?

Just a bunch of extant demos, unheard before mixes and near-identical songs from other albums.
If you're all broke up about your love-life and off your large family of small passerine birds on ting-and-tings and you go through a period of (the record company) officially releasing albums that weren't what you wanted them to be and everything got all mixed up then SUCK IT UP!
Out of this whole esipode Comes a Time still stands as a humble gem.
It still deserves a running commentary thread.

There's two really good songs on that album, and that isn't one of them. And it's better than Homegrown, the album.

Is one of them the one about the salmon?
