I'll have them.

Re: The mega-fantastic Poundland thread
I didn't know Poundland sold funnels. I've been toying with the idea of getting some, for ages, but didn't know of any shops that sold them.

Perhaps we need a funnels thread - for epic funnel-related discussion.

Re: The mega-fantastic Poundland thread
It's now being reported that Poundland is going to buy 71 Wilko stores. The twists and turns of this saga are beyond comprehension.

I've been in Poundland today. And they had some tablet keyboards for £8.
If they've still got some, the next time I'm in, I might buy one.

They also had some very fancy-looking mouses for £4.

Poundland really should be renamed "Most Stuff Now Is Now Much More Than A Pound But Is Still Rounded Up To The Nearest Pound-land".

Re: The mega-fantastic Poundland thread
You can say that again. They were selling something for far more than it costs at Heron but I can't remember what it was.

Oh, that was it. It was bags of Walkers' Sensations.
I think they were something like 50p more expensive than they are at Heron.

I wonder if their build quality is superior to the 'click, click' mouse?

They're now selling some things for 85p.

It's pricing carnage in that place, these days.

Blundering around in Poundland, the other day, I spotted that they're now selling cacti.
I got very excited because I had some pet cactuses when I was little.
Now I'm wondering if I should buy one.
Perhaps I should buy two, as I don't know if cactoises get lonely if left on their own.

Then again, they were in little pots. I don't know if that means I'd have to move them into bigger ones when I get them home. If so, that'd put me off buying them, as I don't have any larger pots and would, presumably have to buy soil or whatever it is they live in. That all sounds like a major commitment for someone as commitmentphobic as me.

Fancy someone who shops in Poundland knowing Latin/Greek phrases.

She says you need to re-pot them when you get home.

It did seem like there wouldn't be much room for them to move around in those tiny pots.

I've got one like the one back left. I think it's called a golden barrel cactus. I had it in 1994 and it's still going. It's probably about twice the size of that one now.
The problem I had when I was "collecting" cacti is that I had a mealybug outbreak which spread among certain cacti, and ultimately destroyed the cactus. I ended up with about three cacti that were never affected.
