Soft Boys or Soft Lads?
Re: The Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight (1980)
On reflection I do feel that A Can of Bees is better.
RH's surreally silly lyrics come through more and the production is less strident.
Still.
It has to be ★★★★.

3.7/5 is a just and fair score.

Me? I was never that keen on anything referred to as 'psych' in the 1980s. I tried, I turned to the Ptolemaic Terrascope, but all of it never left a positive impression.
Or 90s thinking about it.

Not The Phantom Payne?
Or The Legendary Pink Dots?
In fact I was going to suggest the LPDs for a commentary, but every one of their albums are unbelievably long.
Like all of them.
All well over an hour long.

I notice that EK-S has done a collaborative album with Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls.
It's just 50 minutes long.
The, er...
The...
Reviews aren't great.
