Still not in the least bit original, but more pleasing to listen to.

I love the 80s synthy bits.
I liked Oompa Radar too.

You can imagine Lotte Lenya singing this.
As, er... Rosa Klebb.

Re: Goldfrapp – Felt Mountain (2000)
It is over.
That was all very beautiful, and dull as ditchwater.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

It was never unpleasant or unlistenable, but it was crashingly unoriginal.
To the absolute nth degree.
Music for people who:
a) have never heard any genre music before the 1980s.
b) don't care and are just lazy and think that all 900+ of John Barry's soundtracks isn't enough.
c) deplorable scum who deserve a thoroughly well-deserved flamethrowering.

Re: Goldfrapp – Felt Mountain (2000)
Well, I am deplorable scum, but it didn't do much for me, just compare it to that Orbital Track I posted up there somewhere. That did something new with the 60s stuff, and that was a 3rd B side on a single.
Maybe it needs to be listened to in other conditions than doing something else, with a headache and the windows open and not being able to hear the music when a car drives past.
★★
I mean it was very well done, but so, so boring…
