I've just turned 10 years old.

And about to go on one of my most memorable ever holidays in the next few days, to Cornwall.

It was a hot summer that year. Cornwall felt more like the Caribbean - the sand was hot and the sea was clear or turquoise. The holiday to Cornwall a year later on the other hand was largely overcast, drizzly and definitely jumper weather!

Yes, I remember it hitting more than 100 degrees in Doncaster and it being the hottest day South Yorkshire had ever seen.

Yes indeed. On August 3rd the UK temperature record was broken - 98.8°F in Cheltenham.
