Yesterday I experimented with having a drink-free night on my first day back at work. Usually it's my practice to have lots of wine that night as compensation, but I want to change things.

It went very well.

I've agreed with myself to cut my drinking by 2/3s in the short term alone.

I myself have made a similar pledge, starting with a weekly limit of 36 units.

I only had 8 units yesterday and it's given me a hangover after my two days of virtue.

I'm having an unscheduled drink-free day today.

Unusual for me to do that on a Sunday.

(When I say drink-free day, I don't mean that I'm usually drinking during the day. I'm an evening drink person.)
