I've not had a drop to drink since Sunday evening.

Well done Nightie!
I'm only managing 1 night off this week, I'm disappointed in myself.

I'm deffo going to have some wine tonight though.
Still, about 68 hours without.
For me, that's not too shabby.

Re: The not drinking thread
I'm only doing 1 drink-free night this week, tonight. Because I think I'll need a drink tomorrow night whatever happens in the US election.
I should have planned better for that actually.

Re: The not drinking thread
Since the above post I've brought in a rule of having strictly 2 drink-free days per week (except Christmas week, 1). It has done me a lot of good.
Today is day 2 of this week's DFDs. I had a DFD yesterday, and can look forward to delicious drinks tomorrow, so I'm in my best possible headspace.

Re: The not drinking thread
Once again it's day 2 of 2, and I feel good, even though the people in the next room kept me awake with their telly. I had to lie sideways across the bed rolled up the duvet to be further away from the wall.
Luckily it was one of the new extra-wide beds so my feet weren't dangling off the side.

Day 2 of 2 again. What I call Ideal Day. 9½ hours' kipparoo in the bank, and I feel fine.
~The drink week~
Tue: Come Up Night - first night's drinks. No hangover in the morning, and anticipation all day - but can't drink too much without risking a hangover.
Wed: Steadying Night - drink a bit more, minimal hangover risk.
Thu: Best Night - the last night where I'm carefree and not having to think about when the party stops
Fri: Climax Night - the last night where I get another go tomorrow.
Sat: Anticlimax Night - the prospect of getting off the ride overshadows the fun. Sometimes leads to extra drinks and drama.
Sun: Reset Day - hangover in the morning, no drinks in the evening. Busy myself with tasks.
Mon: Ideal Day - no hangover, no drinks, but plenty of anticipation.
That's one problem of taking 3 days off - it would introduce a 3rd, Neutral Day, with no hangover, but nothing to look forward to either. When I didn't drink at all for all those years, every day was Neutral Day, and it led me to a bad place in the end.
