However, my financial woes have curtailed my boozing somewhat.

The irony is not lost on me.

But I went to bed at 7pm and got up at 3.30am, which has made me feel a bit disoriented.

I have successfully done a wine-free Wednesday.

Despite the fact that I unexpectedly won £25 on the premium bonds, which normally would call for champagne

I'm having a wine-free Thursday. Even though it's Christmas week.

That's how serious I am about having a night off once a week

I'm drinking a weird, b*****d version of an Margarita, made with reposado Tequila, Cointreau, the juice from a tin of pineapple chunks, Maldon sea salt and chilli flakes and grated Bramley apple (for t*rtness).

Wine-free Thursday successfully completed!

But I overslept this morning.

I've not drunk all that much this NY'sE period - well, not for me anyroadup.

A few G&Ts and a bottle of wine on NYE proper, several bottled IPAs and some red wine on NYD, 3/4 of a bottle of wine on the 2nd and nothing yesterday.

Also, my friends wanted me to go to the pub on NYD and I refused instead opting to stay in with my Godson(s).
