It is over.
I picked that album because it has a reputation for being so different to what you expect from the Carpenters that their fans couldn't cope with it and it not only flopped but ended the duo as a viable chart act.
However, to me, it sounded exactly like I'd expect a Carpenters album to sound.
Regardless, I found it too polite and honey-coated to grip me.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.
