| I'm back to being in the sea due west of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, perhaps a little bit further from shore this time, 11 miles rather than the usual 10.
And only 140 miles from my true location.

| Today I'm a little closer to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, about 9 miles offshore.
And about 90 from where I actually am.

| A new departure - GM has me 1200 metres offshore from a little seaside village called Shandwick, itself in the middle of nowhere NE of Inverness.
I certainly prefer it to my usual location, bobbing up and down 10 miles off Blackpool.

| Does anyone know if there's a way to determine compass points on Google Maps? That is, for example, if I wanted to know which direction Burnley is in, from Dover, would one be able to do it?
For instance, I'd be able to look at it and go, "Oh, Burnley is 38 degrees north north west of Dover."
I've searched all through the various settings but I can't find anything that relates to compass points. _________________ |
