I'd do it manually - make a line with the Measure Distance tool, then estimate the compass direction/bearing by eye.

About four miles into the North Sea. I’m not, I’m in Cellardyke, in an old cottage overlooking the Forth. I have a little patio with a low wall, beyond which is the water crashing onto rocks.
