My mother has rung to say she was disturbed by her day out to Kutna Hora. She now seems to be legless somewhere in Prague so she'll be able to donate those to the decor out there.

This weekend sees my son bugger off to Berlin with his father, courtesy of moi. He's back for a night and then we are off to California. With reluctance I have consented to Disneyland and ONE other theme park although I'm not looking forward to that. I'm more excited by our trip to the Getty Villa followed by a leisurely time in Malibu. Apparently one of the most comprehensive fragrance libraries in the world is in LA so we'll be swinging by there for a few hours of sensual pleasure too.

A great friend of mine from Athens now owns a cannabis farm outside Los Angeles, so I can't wait to get there and catch up with her over some of her products. I am desperate for some heat on my bones. My back has sort of gone again, so it'll be strictly medicinal.

It's a lovely sunny day and I'm off to lovely sunny Sudbury to see my Grandpa today.

The agenda is:

12:00pm - cup of tea and a chinwag
1:00pm - pub lunch (he always has ham, chips and eggwobbles)
2:00pm - we watch a movie together (usually a western of the revisionist type)
4:00pm - another cup of tea and further chinwag (usually about the War or his career as a biochemist or tittle tattle he's never told anyone else in the family)
5:30pm - I start to make noises about getting off home (conversation rambles on nonetheless, usually about about his various other f*ckless grandchildren)
6:00pm - I finally leave (after discussing when I'll next be over and various mutterings about the state of the front garden)
